Strength changed the way I think about health.
I believe health is more than avoiding illness. It is having enough strength, energy and capacity to live the life you care about.

I’m a Naturopathic Doctor and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. My work brings clinical care and physical performance into the same conversation.
I kept seeing the same disconnect: hormones discussed separately from body composition, nutrition separated from training, symptoms managed without enough attention to the physical capacity a woman wants to preserve or build.
I think those pieces belong together.
Getting older is real. So are changes in hormones, recovery, muscle and metabolism. But I don’t think aging should automatically be treated as a story of becoming less capable.
The more useful question is: what do you want your body to be able to do in the decades ahead, and what can we build now to support that?
Practical, not performative.
I’m interested in evidence that changes decisions. I want the science to make sense at the grocery store, in the gym, at work, at home and during the messy middle of a full life.
